EDINBURGH COURSE DETAILS

Virtual Ground Course

The Ground Course is presented virtually via a special online format and has the following benefits:

• Watch from the comfort of your own home, on any device that has access to the internet.
• 2 hour 30 minutes presentation (consisting of 16 easy to watch modules)
• You can rewatch it as many times as you wish up to the day of your Experience Flight.
• Lawrence Leyton, our course therapist and host, will teach you a series of coping techniques and strategies. 
• A senior easyJet Captain will take you through all the misconceptions you may have about flying.
• Extensive focus on Turbulence, Noises, Sensations, Take Off, Landings, Cross Winds, Crew Training, Aircraft Safety and much much more...
• It covers both the technical and psychological aspects of the fear of flying
• Extensive Question and Answer session with the Pilot

By the end of the Ground Course you will feel much more confident about taking the Experience Flight!  

Meet The Team (1 hour Zoom Session) -  Wednesday 12th June 2024 (7.30pm)

(ATTENDANCE IS OPTIONAL - but we do recommend you join us!)  IF YOU BOOK AFTER THIS DATE, DON'T WORRY YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE AN EMAIL DETAILING FULL INFORMATION ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE FLIGHT DAY)

In addition to the Ground Course, we will also be hosting a pre-flight one hour Meet The Team Online Zoom session, for all participants who wish to attend, which will include: 

• A review of the Ground Course
• The airport experience and what to expect
• A pre Experience Flight briefing 
• Participant Q&A session with Lawrence, the Pilot and Mark (our ex-phobic and Course Director)
• Lawrence and the Pilot's top Fearless Flyer tips

Experience Flight - Monday 17th June 2024 (1.45pm)

The dedicated Experience Flight* will take off from (and land back at) Edinburgh Airport (Postcode – EH12 9DN) at 1.45pm on Monday 17th June 2024 and will last a maximum of 1 hour. 

• Meet and greet with the Fearless Flyer Team
• Dedicated Check In process
• Exclusive flight for Course Participants (and their companions) only
• Dedicated crew for the Fearless Flyer flight
• Relaxation session when you first board the aircraft
• Live running commentary from an additional pilot who will be in the cabin with you
• In-flight graduation ceremony
• Access to in-flight photos available post course

*For all Experience Flights, you will require photographic ID (i.e. Driving Licence or Passport). Please contact the office if you do not have either of these forms of ID. You will need to arrive at the airport at least 1 hour prior to departure to enable sufficient time to check in at our dedicated Experience Flight check in desk, then to clear security and make your way to the departure gate. Flight departure time is approximate and subject to final confirmation nearer the time.

Please note the ticket type that includes a "flight companion" only entitles the Companion to attend the flight element of the course to act as a support mechanism for the full course participant. Flight companions must be aged 18 or older and be a confident and regular flyer. Anyone wishing to view the Online Course or attend the Meet The Team Zoom Call must purchase a full course place.
